Christ Church supports SHALOM which is a coalition of local churches that provides temporary shelter for those who would otherwise sleep on the streets. This includes a hot meal, a comfortable bed, a hot shower, and a referral for services to help overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. The homeless are house at one of the participating churches for up to a week at a time from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am. All homeless individuals are permitted into the overnight shelter program as long as they do not exhibit violent, aggressive, or destructive behavior.

Missions Committee is sponsoring a year-long campaign or a goal of
$5,000, whichever comes first, for the Heifer Project. Heifers for
Relief is dedicated to ending hunger permanently by providing families
with livestock and training so that they “can be spared the indignity of
depending on others to feed their
children.”
So help fill the Ark and provide a “seat” in the Ark (or partial seat)
for the animal of your choice. See the Heifer roving bulletin board or
the Missions bulletin board (across from the church office) for a price
list of the animals. We have water buffalo to beehives and everything in
between.
If you are interested in supporting any of our mission ministries either through your service or financial help, please contact the church office at (513) 422-7364.
